Shashini is a multifaceted young artist whose deep-rooted passion for Bharatanatyam began at the tender age of two. Her innate talent was first recognized when she spontaneously danced along to a Pushpanjali during her elder sister’s practice. Today, as an incoming high school freshman, that early spark has been honed into a disciplined artistic pursuit through six and a half years of rigorous training under the esteemed guidance of Guru Smt. Raji Krishna.
Shashini has had the opportunity to perform on several prestigious stages in India, notably during the 2024 Margazhi Dance Festival. She cherishes performing duets with her sister at iconic venues, including the Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, the Pushpanjali Trust, Udupi Krishna Temple, Kollur Mookambigai Temple and various temples across the U.S. Her dedication to the art form is reflected in her competitive achievements, including winning First Place in the Papanasam Sivan Regional Solo Competition, Second Place in the National FeTNA Folk Dance Competition (2023), and top honors in several group dance competitions
